Modern and reliable communication system for 400,000 citizens - new project by company "Algotech" in Poland

Company "Algotech" has developed a modern, efficient, cheap and reliable communication system for the Administration of city of Bydgoszcz in Poland. The City Administration of Bydgoszcz has experienced many troubles with the growing costs of maintenance of the existing fixed telephony system, as well as with the increased risk from communication collapse in possible critical situations, and it has made the decision to have the whole system changed and modernized.

According to the announcement, the City Administration of Bydgoszcz, with 800 employees who provide various services to over 400,000 citizens, was not able to rely on its "traditional" fixed telephony system with basic functions any more. New infrastructure has enabled quick and efficient processing of all calls, as well as secure and permanent connection with all emergency services, such as police, fire department and ambulance service.

- The advantages that these new communication technologies offer to the citizens of Bydgoszcz are exceptional. This investment helps in rescuing of lives and increases the level of security in critical situations - said Maciej Szymcza, a member of the City Administration of Bydgoszcz.

Low operational costs represent an additional advantage of the solution delivered by "Algotech". IP technology has enabled significant decrease in prices of services within fixed and mobile telephony, while the calls within the system are completely free of charge.

- The system can simply be expanded to larger number of locations where different services of city administration function. It currently enables quality communication between all employees, regardless of the physical positions of their working places. All citizens can contact the City Administration for free by using Skype. These new solutions have significantly enhanced the quality of different administrative services, especially the work of the center for management of critical situations and information department - said Aleksandar Bakoč, the CEO of company "Algotech Srbija".
