A Serbian delegation, headed by Trade Minister Rasim Ljajic, is visiting Moscow today, where the finalization and the final agreement on the free trade between Serbia and the Eurasian Economic Commission are expected, Novosti reports.

If an agreement is reached, Serbia will be able to export certain amounts of cheese, cigarettes and fruit brandies free of duty.

Belarus, which opposes the requested quota of 1,000 tons of cheese, is preventing the signing of this agreement.

Today, Ljajic will meet the Minister for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Veronika Nikishina, with whom he should have the final round of talks about the signing of the agreement.

– I believe that we will reach a compromise. I would be very unpleasantly surprised if it turned out otherwise – Ljajic told Novosti.

The Eurasian Economic Commission consists of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
