"McCann Erickson" wins "Golden Lion"

The biggest regional company in market communication "McCann Erickson",
led by Srdjan Šaper, has won the prestigious ‘Golden lion’ award at reputable world
advertising festival in Cannes.
In competition of almost 2000 companies from all over the world, ‘McCann Erickson’ won the prize in category "Media Lions - Best Use of Ambient Media" for raising public awareness of testicle cancer within the campaign named "Check Them", which was realized in Macedonia.
"Golden Lion" is the world's most prestigious advertising award.
"This award confirms that "McCann Erickson" is the regional leader in the market and the company that is devoted to creativity and innovations for over ten years of its existence. Ever since Srđan Šaper founded the agency in Belgrade 12 years ago, thanks to its work and ideas, Belgrade-based "McCann group" with its agencies and offices in five countries has become the real regional communication center for Southeast Europe", it is stated in the company's announcement.
At the ceremony that was organized last night in the most famous festival city in the south of France, the founder and the President of "McCann group", Srđan Šaper, and the CEO of the Skopje-based branch office, Vlatko Dimovski, received significant award "Golden Lion" in front of over 1,000 respectable guests and representatives of the world's top media.
All the world's top advertising companies, brands, communication experts, public persons and eminent names from the world of adversiting and media were present at the closing gala night of the 56th International Advertising Festival in Cannes.
The campaign aimed at raising awareness of testicle cancer has been very noticeable in the previous period and it has won significant awards at festivals around the world: it was shortlisted for Golden Drum award and it won the award of the audience outside the official competition, it was golden prize at Golden Hammer festival, as well as gold medal at the Media Festival in Valencia.
