Sigit Srbija Kragujevac to make Porsche components – Cooperation worth up to EUR 5 million a year

The Kragujevac-based company Sigit Srbija has established cooperation with Porsche and will start producing plastic components for the renowned car manufacturer in April.

The chairman of Sigit Srbija, Davor Velickovski, told Danas that the company would start producing components for Carrera 911, Cayenne and a new electric car in April.

– Our annual production for Porsche needs to reach the value of 3 to 5 million euros. We expect, of course, for the volume and the value of our cooperation with Porsche to grow in the upcoming years. At the same time, I'm certain that the scope of our cooperation with Fiat, our main partner, will also grow in the upcoming period – Velickovski points out.

Velickovski, who is also a member of the Managing Board of the Sigit Group, headquartered in Turin, says that he expects the next year to be very important when it comes to the further development of the car industry, especially considering that Fiat in Kragujevac “can't survive at the current rate of production”, so it's realistic to expect the arrival of a new model.

Sigit Group is Fiat's main supplier of plastic components on the global level. In addition to Fiat, Sigit also cooperates with Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Land Rover and other car manufacturers The factory in Kragujevac has around 220 employees and is considered one of the best within the group.
