Vorwerk factory in Cacak makes its first products

The test production of auto-components has started at the facility of the German company Vorwerk in Prijeljina near Cacak, assistant mayor for local self-government and infrastructure, Milan Bojovic, said on TV Lav Plus on Friday, February 1, 2019.

Bojovic said that town officials, led by Mayor Milun Todorovic, had visited the factory in Preljina, the construction of which started in July 2018.

– The mayor of Cacak was given one of the first parts produced as a gift. It features a logo of the Republic of Serbia, written in English, as well as the sign of the car company it will be produced for – Bojovic said.

Bojovic pointed out that the production at the factory in Preljina should begin in March.

According to the announcements, the factory will carry out serial production for Volkswagen’s electric vehicles, as well as for Mercedes vehicles of E and S classes.
