Construction of national stadium within Stadium City to begin in spring 2019 – Technology and aqua park and residential and office space planned as well

Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali announced that the construction of a national stadium within the future Stadium City complex, included in the 2019 budget, would begin in the spring of 2019.

In his New Year’s interview with Blic, Mali specified that the Stadium City would feature residential facilities, office buildings, a technology park, fairs and an aqua park and added that negotiations about the arrival of numerous world companies and store chains were in progress.

According to him, the works will begin in the spring of 2019 and should be completed in two and a half to three years.

– The aim is to earn through investments and tourism, but also to promote sports. Belgrade should get a modern stadium so that it could eventually host the Champions League or the Europa League – Mali said.
