Three of the total of five modern John Deere logging machines have arrived to the Morovic forestry operation.

These are multifunctional machines, harvesters and forwarders bought by the PE Vojvodinasume from their own profit.

– The investment is worth EUR 2 million and is very important for us as it increases the efficiency, but also the workplace safety – says Marta Takac, the director of the PE Vojvodinasume.

The equipment was delivered by the Slovenian company Tehnogozd.

– These are the first modern machines to enter Serbia. They make the driver’s job less stressful and are much easier to work with, as the technology enables optimal operations – says the director of the Slovenian company, Jure Voncina.

This is the third capital investment of this kind made using the funds from Vojvodinasume’s regular operations.

The first very profitable harvester was bought in 2008, and the second one in 2016.

This public enterprise for Vojvodina operates close to 130,000 hectares of forest areas and each year renews 250 hectares by planting oak, which can only be fully exploited after 160 years.
