According to Mayor Milos Vucevic, the Japanese Embassy is very interested in supporting the entire project financially, in addition to helping with the development.
It was confirmed for Novosti by the PUE Gradsko Zelenilo that their teams had already commenced the works.
The preparations of this utility enterprise for this demanding project are accompanied by the tendering for the equipping of the garden, which will be located in the area bordered by Vojvode Stepe Blvd, Evrope Blvd, Rase Radujkova Street and Milana Jesica Ibre Street.
The City Administration for Building Land has opened the tender for the technical documentation for the development of this garden. The documentation includes geomechanical explorations, geodetic works, a project for the building permit, the documentation for power installations and the documentation for the public lighting at the garden.
The garden area should be developed on 3.5 hectares and feature 10 entrances, with the main one specially marked. The central section will feature a floral area, surrounded by the main promenade. The pastry shop will be located in the western section of the garden and the children's playground will be located next to it.
The southern side will feature a bocce court and a bench with a sunshade, and the central section will be meant for concerts, exhibits and various educational and entertainment workshops. The garden will also feature a fountain, sprinklers and two drinking fountains.
Footpaths will be surrounding the garden, connecting it with the environment. A large number of parking spaces should also be provided.
