Betting house "Mozzart space" – an inspiration even for Las Vegas

- Recently opened betting house "Mozzart space" in Belgrade’s downtown is the unique facility of the type not only in Serbian capital city, but also all over the world – Karim Rashid, famous designer who is responsible for the interior of the betting house, said last night (April 25, 2009) at the promotion of that facility.

- Never before "Mozzart space" had I have a chance to design a betting house. I am currently working on some projects in Las Vegas, and no place there is similar to this one. The reason for that is the atmosphere in Belgrade, and my primary goal was to make the place that inspires and connects people, the place that is alive – said Rashid.

"Mozzart space", which is situated in 1-3 Obilićev Venac Street, covers the space of 220 square meters at three levels. Exterior and entrance are characterized by the logo of company "Mozzart", which is a part of its visual identity whose author is Zoran Blazina. Karim Rashid has managed to unite all of his designer solutions with the existing identity of “Mozzart” in an interesting and unusual way.

The interior is rich with futuristic elements - sliding entrance door, “matrix” ceiling, ashtrays cast in the tables…

- I paid great attention to the entrance, which looks powerfully and, in some way, it invites people to come in and feel like they are a part of the modern world at this place. That I achieved by using futuristic elements and tiny details that employ all of our senses.

Wide stairway in the vicinity of the entrance creates a pleasant feeling of welcome in an exciting ambience that is hidden behind the opaque glass surfaces. The motives on the ceiling in "Mozzart’s" new outlet are made of series of digital numbers that reflect the unlimited possibilities for their combinations.

- "Mozzart space" is only the first in the series of modernly designed betting houses where the lovers of the games of chance will be able to enjoy themselves not only in Belgrade, but also in other cities in Serbia – said the people from company "Mozzart".

- The company’s aim is not only to enlarge the number of offices, but also to improve the quality of services, that is, overall entertainment, and the attractiveness of the interior definitely contributes to better positioning in the entertainment industry, which is a global trend. The atmosphere inside the outlet will make you feel like you’re flying the first class, but in space – said Marija Džamić, an architect in company "Mozzart".

In addition to all kinds of bets on sports results, "Mozzart space" also offers electronic roulettes and slot machines.

"Mozzart space" is Karim Rashid’s second interior project in Belgrade, and the first one was restaurant "Majik". He says he takes most pride in these two facilities of all the projects around the world he has ever worked on.
