Alfa Technics Kragujevac is to officially open the factory of steel structures for airports in Svilajnac today, in which it invested EUR 5.5 million, with EUR 600,000 coming from the Government of Serbia, and where it will initially employ 202 workers.

With this investment, Alfa Technics has become the owner of around 4.5 hectares of land with a railway and over 8,000 square meters in facilities, and the plan is for the number of employees to double in several years, as Tanjug was told yesterday at the Municipality of Svilajnac.

The average gross salary at the company is RSD 90,000, and the annual production is worth EUR 10 million. It exports 80% of what it produces to 40 countries in the world, the municipality says. They produce steel structures for the automotive and aviation industry. In cooperation with Durr Assembly Products, they design and produce soundproof cabins for over 20 of the most famous car manufacturers: Mercedes, Volvo, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Nissan, Ford...

It designs and produces logistics systems for the biggest world airports in cooperation with ThyssenKrupp Airport Systems.

In Svilajnac, it will produce steel structures for airports in nearly all countries of Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.

The director of Alfa Technics, Ivan Zivkovic, told the press in Svilajnac earlier that the company produces equipment for airports, hydraulic tunnels and staircases for smaller planes, installed in Europe by a foreign partner.

Zivkovic added that his company imports very few materials, “only steel from Russia”.

The Alfa Technics plant opens in the Free Zone at the entrance to Svilajnac from the Belgrade-Nis highway, in the location of the former VIS plant.
