- Starting Tuesday, April 21st, employers can apply for the open competition for employment of 10,000 trainees who will be receiving salaries and allowances from the state for one year - the Ministry of Economy announced today (April 17th, 2009).
The Ministry of Economy's programme "First Chance" anticipates employment of 10,000 young people in private companies with the following salaries - 16,000 RSD for those who graduated from high school and 18,000 RSD for those who graduated from faculty.
The state will be paying allowances, while the employer will only need to pay the tax on profit, which amounts to 2,589 RSD for the salary of 20,000 RSD.
The aim of the programme is to stimulate employment in private sector at the time of the economic crisis.
It is intended for young educated people without working experience, and it makes it possible for them to get job on definite time and take the trainee exam, that is, to acquire practical knowledge that makes that competitive in the open market.
The employer must keep, at least, the same number of employees during the period of use of subvention as in the first quarter of year 2009.
The employer is free to choose who to hire, and the conditions are that the potential workers are registered with the National Employment Agency, that they are younger than 30, and that they do not have any working experience.
The employer has no obligation to keep the trainees following the expiration of the subvention period.
Only the solvent employers from the private sector who regularly pay taxes and salaries to their employees can participate in the open competition.
Employers can submit the request to the nearest office of the National Employment Agency prior to December 20th, 2009.
