Stoteks Novi Sad signs agreement on export to China worth USD 5 million

Novi Sad-based Stoteks AD has signed an agreement with China’s Yuhuan Guoyang Import & Export Co Ltd on the export of food products in 2019 worth USD 5 million, the Provincial Government announced.

The agreement also entails the export of additional amounts worth another USD 5 million in 2020, and Stoteks AD will be exporting frozen fruit and vegetables, jams, edible sunflower oil and wine to China.

The agreement was signed at the international conference dedicated to the promotion of the economy of the City of Taizhou, and the signing was attended by the vice president of the Provincial Government and the provincial secretary for economy and tourism, Ivan Djokovic, and the representative of Stoteks AD Gordan Basic.

Djokovic is currently on a working visit to China and Shanghai, where the biggest world fair of exporters to the host country is being held, called China International Import Expo 2018 – CIEE, opened by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The press release says that the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism had enhanced the cooperation with the Chine Province of Zhejiang in the preceding period, resulting in a successful presentation of Vojvodina’s enterprises and the agreement worth USD 5 million.

Djokovic also met with Mayor of Taizhou Zhang Bing, who expressed his wish to have the cooperation with Vojvodina raised to a new level through making one of the local self-governments in Vojvodina a sister-city to Taizhou.

Taizhou has seven million residents and is one of the most important industrial centers in Zhejiang, as well as the starting point of the One Belt One Road project.
