Registration of foreigners' stay at eGovernment Portal

Foreigners arriving to Serbia can now register their stay electronically, using the service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the eGovernment Portal (euprava.gov.rs).

The electronic registration service enables natural persons hosting foreigners to register their guests at any moment.

– At the moment, the first phase of the service is realized: the applicant can register the foreigner at either their home address or the address of a property owned by them – says Mihailo Jovanovic, the director of the Office for IT and eGovernment.

The electronic registration, he explains, also needs to include the emails of both the applicant and the foreigner, in order to enable the electronic delivery of the confirmation of the registered place of residence.

– After a successful electronic registration, filled-out electronic forms are sent to the provided email addresses. This is proof enough of the registration – Jovanovic points out.

He added that the service is available only to the users registered at the eGovernment Portal with a qualified electronic certificate.

Natural person registering foreigners at properties they own will not be able to use this service if the property is not registered at the Republic Geodetic Authority or if the address cannot be recognized in the Address Register of the Republic of Serbia.
