Train dispatching is realized on eight sections in Serbia at the moment, consolidated in three remote control centers, which are not gathered in a single system and which were established in the 1960s and the 1980s. The cooperation of Russia's RZD International and Serbian Railways in the establishment of the Single Train Dispatch Center in Serbia will largely contribute to solving this problem, the press release says.

– The establishment of the Single Train Dispatch Center in Serbia will enable the implementation of new technologies for managing the transportation process, a constant control of train traffic. All railway stations in Serbia will be gathered around a single network with the possibility of the transfer of information to the existing centers in Makis, Nis, Pozega and the newly founded Single Dispatch Center in Belgrade – says the first deputy director of RZD International Serbia, Mansurbek Sultanov.

RZD International specializes in engineering and was founded as part of the Russian Railways holding, which is active in the construction and the modernization of the railway infrastructure in Serbia and also plans to carry out the construction of the Single Train Dispatch Center.

This August, a Serbian delegation visited infrastructural facilities of Russian Railways at the invitation of RZD International and learned about the operations of the Transport Management Center of Russian Railways and the Transport Management Dispatch Center, which is equipped with the latest technical devices.

According to the manager for the maintenance of the railway infrastructure at Serbian Railways Infrastructure, Zoran Jevtic, “after overviewing all the technical solutions within the EU, the project task is to be prepared and the specification of technical requirements is to be defined, following which the agreement should be signed”.
