Gazprom Energoholding interested in investing in energy projects in Serbia

The Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic had a meeting on Thursday, October 18, 2018 with the representatives of Russian company Gazprom Energoholding which has expressed interest in investing in energy projects in Serbia, the ministry announced after the meeting.

Denis Fyodorov, General Director at Gazprom Energoholding, said that the company was ready for other projects in the renewable energy sector and that it wished to start expanding to Europe directly from Serbia.

The Ministry has said that their objective was for annual electricity output in TE-TO Pancevo to be 1,400 gigawatt hours which would be sufficient for 230,000 average households.

– Leading Russian energy companies in Serbia are here through cooperation between Gazprom and Srbijagas as well as through Gazprom Neft majority ownership in NIS but we want to expand that cooperation to other aspects of energy production together with our Russian partners, said Antic.


He pointed out that Gazprom Energoholding would get the full support by the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Mining and Energy in realizing projects beneficial for both sides.
