McDonald's is celebrating its 30th anniversary in Serbia this year and will open another restaurant in Novi Sad this November.

– In the past three decades, we have made considerable investments in Serbia, opened 26 restaurants, employed more than 1,200 people and served millions of guests. This year, we plan to open another restaurant in Novi Sad in November, and we will continue investing, opening new restaurants and employing new people in the upcoming years as well – said Veselin Janicijevic, the director of McDonald's Serbia.

This year, McDonald's has implemented several new services in Serbia, such as home delivery in Belgrade and Novi Sad and serving food at the table, where hostesses assist guests in restaurants. Self order booths are available too, as is the made-for-you concept, where food preparation starts after the order.

McDonald's was the first international company to arrive to Yugoslavia and Southeast Europe in 1988 and the first restaurant chain of this kind to introduce a new business culture and a new way of serving food. The first McDonald's restaurant in the former Yugoslavia, still operational, opened in Slavija, Belgrade.
