Szeged still a favorite of Serbian tourists – Rest and enjoyment in Hunguest Hotel Forras' water magic

Szeged is one of the favorite destinations of Serbia tourists. Located in close proximity to the Serbian border, 210 kilometers away from Belgrade, this city in southern Hungary used to be a trade center and now it is increasingly popular with guests looking to rest peacefully and enjoy the spa and wellness features.

The fully reconstructed Hunguest Hotel Forras is located here, featuring new services and a popular choice for families, but also the young, who come here for a long weekend or a short City Break. In the Mediterranean atmosphere close to the city center, on the coast of the river Tisa, there's also the renowned Napfenyfurdo Aquapolis Szeged, a bathing area connected with Hotel Forras by a heated hallway.

The air-conditioned facility features 196 rooms, 162 of which are spacious double-bed rooms, 23 of which can be merged into family rooms, as well as five rooms adapted for people with disabilities. Tourists looking for more privacy and comfort are offered 28 apartments. Some of them are equipped with a jacuzzi or a fireplace.

– Those who love an active vacation or are arriving with their family are provided with a bowling alley with four lanes and a bar, a pool salon, an Xbox room and a children's playroom. Programs for the youngest visitors have also been secured, and the hotel's mascot, turtle Szegi Teki, has special programs prepared for children, who especially enjoy playing and taking photographs with it. Sports fans can watch live games on a huge projector at the lobby, and Zsidro Salon offers hairdressing and cosmetics services, a solarium and manicure and pedicure services – Hotel Forras says.

They also point out that the hotel is suitable for the organization of all types of conferences and business gatherings. The reconstructed restaurant has a capacity of 400 seats, and there's also the lobby bar, conference halls for 50 to 450 people and smaller meeting rooms. The pleasant garden of the hotel in Szeged can accommodate a variety of high-standard programs and outdoor events.

Longest waterslide in Europe

Accommodation at the hotel in Szeged also provides one with access to the Napfenyfurdo Aquapolis Szeged bathing area. At this water complex, guests can enjoy attractions such as Europe's longest waterslide, which is open year-round – 272-m Anaconda waterslide and 223-m Kamikaze waterslide, which starts at a 30-m tall tower. There are also seven waterslides which start at gallery tiers and the family wellness section.

– There are family pools adapted for children, as well as a four-tier playhouse. In the “baby-mom” world, mothers can feed their children and lull them to sleep in a peaceful environment, whereas the exclusive quiet wellness section can only be accessed by persons over 16. There are also 25-m overflow water pools, an attraction pool and a jacuzzi, a sauna world, massage parlors and the Private Spa.

At the new therapeutic wing, specialist physicians await those who arrive to the hotel for rheumatology, physiotherapy and rehabilitation treatment, and Hungarian citizens can undergo balneotherapy treatments subsidized by state medical insurance. Your can rest and receive treatment in double-bed rooms at the outpatient clinic, and the services include individual therapeutic gymnastics, physiotherapy, underwater jet massage, mineral baths, mineral water baths, mud packs, group underwater gymnastics, a mineral water pool, weight baths and massages.

– As a part of the bathing complex, the most popular beach in Szeged welcomes guests in the summer season surrounded by a beautifully arranged park.

Szeged, the city of sunshine and Pick salami, as it is known, also attracts tourists with its numerous cultural, gastronomic and sports events. The summer stage, the fish stew cookout and the kayak tournament are only some of them, and the reconstructed city center was recently awarded a European standard prize.
