"Global finance" - Raiffeisen Bank won title of “the best bank in Serbia in 2008”

Magazine "Global Finance" has declared Raiffeisen Bank as the best bank in Serbia in 2008.

- The award of this eminent magazine represents another confirmation of our position in Serbian banking system, as well as of the correctness of our business strategy. The award is even more important when we know that it has been won in much tougher competition and in the changed business environment, which will represent a challenge this year as well – said Oliver Roegl, the President of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Bank.

The success of Raiffeisen banking group is made complete by the fact that the banks in Slovakia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and BIH have also won the title of the Best Bank. By the way, Raiffeisen Bank in Serbia has been declared as the most successful for the sixth time in a row.

The repeated award granted to company Raiffeisen International as the leading bank on the territory of central and east Europe reflects successful business results of the group in 2008 – record profit of 982m EUR (according to preliminary data announced in February).
