Cajetina gets construction permit for the next phase of gondola in Zlatibor

Cajetina municipality said today that it has acquired the permit for the next phase of the Gold Gondola in Zlatibor that encompasses the installation of 19 supporting towers from the base station in the center of Zlatibor to the midway station which would solve the problems that slowed down the construction.

According to the official statement, the construction is expected to start in two weeks and will follow the dynamic plan and the the documentation from the consortium of contractors.The cost of this construction phase amounts to RSD 45 million.

Bojana Božanić, Director Of Public Enterprise Gold Gondola Zlatibor said that the municipality solved property-legal relations for the whole route but the administrative procedures in the Real Estate Cadastre Office for registering the vested property right in order to conform the plot to its designated use had significantly slowed down the permit process.

Bozanic said that the similar situation was happening for the last two phases of the project where administrative issues in the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA) overlapped with lawsuits and complaints which were only formal in nature.

– Dealing with some owners of the property rights on the plots along the route is like tilting at windmills. But the thing`s are slowly settling down, she said.

She added that after the initial distrust, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure provided significant help with preparing the documentation and dealing with certain issues that arose.

She emphasized the cooperation with the authorities of the relevant ministry and experts that were at their disposal for all kinds of consultations, and expressed hope that they would continue in the same manner and bring the project to completion as soon as possible.

Bojana Bozanic said that the ministry issued new location requirements for the gondola based on the modified water requirements and thus made adjustments to the documentation.

– I expect for RGA and the relevant Real Estate Cadastre Office to finish everything on their end so that the municipality could become vested in property since it has the consent of the relevant ministries, said the Director Of Public Enterprise Gold Gondola Zlatibor.
