Bela Palanka forms new industrial zone on 8 hectares – Investement in a cement factory also possible

Bela Palanka might not be on the list of under-developed municipalities in Serbia anymore. Namely, the local government of this municipality has some serious plans.

As the sources from the local government told our portal they have formed an industrial zone and now they were waiting for the investors to come.

– The industrial zone is located near the Corridor 10 motorway and it takes up 8 ha. It is fully equipped with infrastructure. The municipality owns the land so it is possible to come to an agreement with the investor regarding land subdivision.

They added that there were interested parties but there we no realized investments in the industrial zone yet. Still, the local government hopes their plans will soon come to fruition.

Negotiations with investors from China and the United Arab Emirates

The municipality of Bela Palanka is negotiating with investors about the construction of a cement factory in the villages of Ciflik and Ljubatovica, the sources from the local government told our portal. They add that the investors come from China and UAE.

– The research shows that cement reserves in the villages in Bela Palanka are sufficient for exploitation. Based on the negotiations so far, the investors are willing to invest up to EUR 100 million and to employ around 250 people, the local government told ekapija portal.
The municipality reminds that Trendtex, a company that deals with working clothing production, has recently opened a manufacturing plant in Bela Palanka and that 150 will be employed there by the end of the year. They add that further negotiations with Trendtex are in progress for expanding the production capacities.
