Kruševac-based company "Petamar" produced first small water treatment system
Kruševac-based company "Petamar", which deals with
planning and production of small systems for treatment of drinking and waste
water, has developed the first such system that should be installed on
Srebrenac, Kopaonik mountain.
The CEO of that company, Zoran Paunović, told Beta agency that the system, of
which capacity was big enough for the territory with about 800 people, was to
clean the waste water in hotel "Srebrenac" and in the new settlement
that was under construction around the hotel.
According to his words, that is the unique production line in Serbia, and it is
estimated that Serbia requires about 30,000 such systems, 50 of which are
needed in Municipality of Kruševac.
- Such systems are suitable for treatment of waste water in one or several
villages because their capacity is big enough for the areas with up to 1,000
residents and for certain business subjects – said Paunović.
He added that Kruševac-based company "Petamar" had resumed
cooperation with French company "Veolia water solutions &
technologies", which was the world’s largest company in that domain.
- The French entrusted us with the construction of small systems for treatment
of drinking and waste water, which means that the technology for construction
of such systems is the property of company "Petamar", but Veolia carries
out monitoring, supervises production and, once it is confirmed that the systems
meet the necessary criteria, they issue the guarantee for them – said Paunović.
In this way, 10 highly educated people of various vocations got jobs in company “Petamar” in Kruševac. According to the company’s plan, the contracts worth 100m RSD should be signed this year.
