Reconstruction of Strahinjica Bana Street to take until October 20 – Pedestrian zone next to Skadarlija

Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic has announced that the reconstruction of Strahinjica Bana Street begins today, Beoinfo reports.

As he announced, the street will be reconstructed and turned into a pedestrian zone in the section from Francuska Street toward the Skadarlija Green market, that is, the entrance to Skadarlija.

– The works will take until October 20, whereas the opening of the new pedestrian zone is planned for the 74th anniversary of the WW2 liberation of Belgrade and the 100th anniversary of the WW1 liberation – Vesic said.

He reminded that this part of Strahinjica Bana Street would become a pedestrian zone and that a paved entrance to Skadarlija would then be developed.
