Ministry of Economy announces privatization of PKB along with sale of a part of land and capital – Public call in August

Poljoprivredna Korporacija Beograd (PKB) will be privatized using the model of the sale of the part of property and capital owned by the Republic of Serbia and the Equity Fund in the subsidiaries Eko-lab and PKB Agroekonomik, the Ministry of Economy announces.

The public call is expected to open in August 2018.

As defined by the Decision of the Government of Serbia, the procedure of privatization of PKB Korporacija AD Padinska Skela and its subsidiaries Veterinarska Stanica PKB d.o.o. Padinska Skela, Eko-lab d.o.o. Padinska Skela and PKB Agroekonomik d.o.o. Padinska Skela will be carried out through the public collection of bids with a public auction.

As specified by the Ministry of Economy, the public bidding will be held in a single procedure with the model of the sale of the property, namely a part of agricultural land and a part of the land meant for agricultural production, the buildings of PKB Korporacija used for business purposes, the equipment, the spare part stock, the herds and the stake of PKB Korporacija in the subsidiaries, as well as the model of the sale of the capital owned by the Republic of Serbia.

As said, the Ministry of Economy is actively carrying out the preparation and the opening of the public call for the sale of the part of the property and the capital in line with the decision of the Government of Serbia.

The tendering procedures for the privatization of six companies, among which are strategic ones, such as RTB Bor, are in progress, and the Ministry of Economy has confirmed that it is preparing public calls for another nine companies, to open in the upcoming period.
