Removal of huge dump-ecological bomb in Futog started

Rehabilitation of the biggest dump in Futog, which represents real ecological bomb, has finally started.
Futog-based dump is located in the vicinity of Food Factory "Aroma" in Futog.

Collecting of automobile bodies, tires, old household appliances and other metal waste, which will be transported to city dump. The next phase of the works encompass digging and loading of about 14,000 cubic meters of waste, followed by compressing and leveling of waste on surface of 50,000 square meters.

Removal of 22,000 cubic meters of waste from the route of future irrigation canals is also planned. After that, cleaned area will be covered with inert material - polyethylene fabric with construction of 25 gas drainpipes. At the end of rehabilitation, barbwire will be erected around the dump and two-wing gate will be installed. Repair of access road is also in the pipeline.

ZIG (Institute for City Construction) set aside 25.8 million CSD for removal of this dump. The contractor is "Karin komerc" company.
