New Credit Bank Maribor plans to buy Serbian bank

New Credit Bank Maribor (KBM) plans to buy one Serbian bank within next year - Matjaž Kovačič, the President of the Administration of that Slovenian financial group, announced yesterday (February 19, 2009).
He did not want to specify either details of the projected level of investments or the names of the banks that Nova KBM wants to buy.
Nova KBM promoted the branch office in Serbia yesterday. Some of the key tasks of the branch office are: support to operations of business organizations, consulting services for clients, as well as high-quality supply of broad spectrum of services of the entire group.
The Director of the Belgrade-based branch office, Alojz Kovše, said that the task of the branch office was to strengthen relations with the existing business partners, as well as to analyse business environment in Serbia, market opportunities and legislation for the domain of finance and payment operations, and the rules and recommendations of the National Bank of Serbia.
