Alibunar to get another windfarm – Windvision Operations to be investor

The Municipality of Alibunar might get another windfarm, eKapija learns at this local self-government. The investor is Windvision Operations.

The construction of the Banat windfarm is planned is Novi Kozjak, right next to the Alibunar windfarm.

This is included in the Detailed Regulation Plan for the Banat windfarm, which is available for public review until August 14. The area planned amounts to 830 ha.

In early 2018, the Belgian company filed an initiative for the decision for the preparation of the Detailed Regulation Plan for the Banat Windfarm in Alibunar for the purpose of the construction of a wind farm to the end of increasing the usage of renewable energy sources.

As said in the plan, it is estimated that the share of unconventional energy sources in the total consumption in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina might reach about 20% in the next ten years.

The plan has been prepared to the end of enabling the realization of the project of the wind generation facility Banat for the production of electricity from renewable sources, in line with the Strategy of Development of Energy in Serbia until 2025, with projections until 2030.
