"Germany Trade and Invest" – new company of Federal Republic of Germany for promotion of foreign trade

New company for promotion of foreign trade “Germany Trade and Invest” (GTaI) was formed on January 1st, 2009, as the result of the merger of Federal Agency for International Economy (Bundesagentur für Außenwirtschaft) and company “Invest in Germany GmbH”.

The new company will be attracting investors and providing marketing activities for German economy, investment and technology markets. In addition, the company also provides advices for foreign and German companies that want to enter German or foreign market. The offer includes information on economy data, legal regulations governing customs activities, tenders in foreign countries and projected investment and development projects.

Special support is given to economic development of new provinces, including Berlin.

The company has broad international network of collaborators whose job is to analyse and collect information on foreign markets, as well as to provide support to enterprises when entering the market in the country or abroad. Cooperation with German foreign-trade chambers is very close and it continuously develops in order to make it possible for the enterprises to gather in the premises of the foreign-trade chambers and exchange information.
