Serbian farmers have produced the first local Sweet Pepita watermelon with microseeds.

Although the variety itself was made through selection in Italy, the watermelon is 100% made in Serbia, from the sowing to the harvesting.

What makes it especially important is that it is the result of the efforts of Serbian farmers, but also of farmers worldwide, to adapt to the habits of modern consumers.

The small watermelon is always fresh, its rind is thin and it doesn't leave a large amount of waste.

– Sweet Pepita is the first watermelon with microseeds in Serbia, and we started cultivating it in order to keep up with the world – says Lazo Djukic, a farmer from Gospodjinci.

Sweet Pepita will help correct the misconception that larger watermelons are always sweeter.

This variety can only be bought at IDEA stores.
