Huawei to bring “smart tourism” to Serbia

Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic and the president of the public sector at Huawei, Lauren Fan, agreed on Thursday, July 12, 2018, on the establishment of a joint expert team for the development of “smart tourism” in Serbia, which will make Serbia more visible on the global travel map and facilitate the arrival of foreign guests.

As announced, Minister Ljajic also talked to Fan about potential forms of cooperation in the future to the end of enhancing the field of telecommunications and digital economy in Serbia.

He expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Huawei up till then and the fact that the project of the modernization of the landline telecommunications network in Serbia, carried out by Telekom Srbija and Huawei, was being implemented successfully.

Ljajic and Fan also discussed the further development of the telecommunications infrastructure in Serbia, which is a basis for the development of digital economy and the implementation of modern technologies in all spheres of the society.
