Western Balkans Summit on July 10 in London

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic will take part in the Western Balkans Summit in London on Tuesday, July 10.

As announced on the website of the Government of Serbia, the London summit will bring together Western Balkans leaders and the highest European officials, who will discuss economic cooperation, focusing on the region, safety and challenges of the migration crisis, the future of the Berlin Process and the current political events in the region.

The participants in the summit, which is hosted by UK prime Minister Theresa May, include German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, European Investment Bank President Werner Hoyer, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development President Suma Chakrabarti and other European officials.


The first Western Balkans Summit within the Berlin Process, initiated by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, was held in 2014 in Berlin.

Last year's Western Balkans Summit was held in Trieste, whereas the next one is to be held in 2019 in Poland.
