It takes up five hectares and is fully equipped with infrastructure. Power, gas, water, traffic routes – everything has been provided, making it one of the most popular business locations in this part of Serbia.
– Currently, 11 companies operate in this location, but there are also Italian and American companies. In addition to Wieland, with which we've signed an agreement, we are negotiating with another German company, so we expect to add three more companies to our complex – said Slobodan Vasiljevic, owner of Slovas.
Vasiljevic's company Slovas privatized the Cer factory in 2009, which, according to him, was in a very bad state at the time.
– Together with the factory, we got 3,645 writs of execution. We were struggling for a full nine years to solve the problem and put the system back into operation, a we were burdened with debts dating back to over 20 years in some cases. We paid a large sum of money, all from our own funds. We managed to find a solution and we increased the sales by 42% last year – Vasiljevic said.
Slovas employs 45 workers and their range of products includes 22,000 articles with which they supply 9,600 customers. In 2011, they built a new facility of 7,200 m2.
