Gondola across the Sava soon? - Detailed Regulation Plans adopted for Belgrade Gondola, Ovca spa, blocks 25 and 26...

At a session on Friday, June 29, 2018, members of the City Assembly of Belgrade adopted draft Detailed Regulation Plans for the Ovca spa, the gondola which will connect Stari Grad and New Belgrade, blocks 25 and 26 in New Belgrade and the cemetery in Petka, municipality of Lazarevac, Beoinfo reports.

– The gondola will enable citizens to travel between Usce and Kalemegdan more quickly, and the plan dates back to before World War II. We have the courage and the ability to carry this out. The state will provide two thirds of the funds and this, along with other projects, will help the city develop. The city is now truly approaching the rivers and the gondola will certainly be one of the symbols of Belgrade – Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic said.

Members of the parliament also adopted a number of decisions about the preparation of DRPs and amendments to the plans in the territories of Rakovica, Vozdovac, Stari Grad, Surcin, Vracar, Cukarica, Zemun and New Belgrade.
