Hisense acquires 60% stake in Gorenje – Chinese company soon to effectively take over management

China's Hisense might begin effectively managing Gorenje in September or October 2018, announced Franjo Bobinac, the company's CEO.
Hisense formally has a 33% stake in Gorenje, but it has in fact already acquired a stake of around 60%.
At the General Meeting of Gorenje, held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, a six-member management was appointed, which will feature, in addition to Bobinac, old members Drago Bahun and Ziga Debeljak, who will be joined by Stanka Pejanovic, Tomas Korosec and Sasa Markovic.
Bobinac called the GM historical and said that the company had found “an excellent strategic partner, with which it will build a stable future and ensure the growth of Gorenje”.
