Music summer in Belgrade – Belef begins on June 22

The 27th Belgrade Summer Festival (Belef) starts on June 22. Everyone spending their summer in Belgrade will be able to attend 25 different programs until July 15.

A prelude to Belef 2018 will be a concert of the Kolibri children’s choir on Wednesday, June 20, at the Student Cultural Center.

The official program opens with a concert of the International Prodigy Orchestra and Choir (IPOC), which will perform in Serbia for the first time on June 22.

– We are very excited. We have prepared a special program which focuses on international and global artistic values – says Jean Foo, the conductor.

In addition to children’s and classical music, the summer in Belgrade will also be marked by popular music.

Neverne Bebe, Orthodox Celts and Lena Kovacevic will perform at Belef for the first time this year.

The highlight of this year’s Belef, the organizers say, will be the theatrical performance Buffet a vif, set up with the help of the French Institute. It will also be performed on June 25 in Novi Sad at the Infant Festival.

This year’s Belef is organized under the slogan “At the Heart of Belef”.

Tickets have been available since June 13.
