Serbia to get modern satellite imaging equipment from Israel

He said this following a meeting with Israeli Minister of Science and Technology Ofir Akunis in Jerusalem, where he is attending an international conference named Thinking out of the Box.
Popovic and Akunis discussed the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the fields such as space technologies and innovations.
– With these technologies, Serbia is entering a new, technological and digital future – Popovic pointed out in a statement for Tanjug.
According to him, cooperation between Serbia and Israel regarding startup communities and scientific research institutes, was also agreed at the meeting.
Akunis is expected to visit Serbia by the end of the year, so as to familiarize himself with all its innovation potentials.
The said conference aims to introduce other countries to Israeli technological and scientific achievements and to provide a venue for countries to share their experiences regarding innovations.
In addition to Popovic, ministers of science and innovation from over 25 countries, the leading Israeli scientists and diplomatic corps representatives are taking part in the conference.
