JAT Tehnika to build hangar for service painting of business class aircraft – Works to begin in September 2018

The company JAT Tehnika will get a new hangar for service painting of business class aircraft in Belgrade by 2019, eKapija learns.

As the company confirmed for our portal, the construction will begin in September and should take twelve months.

The gross area of the future facility will be 3,500 m2. It will have two painting areas, as well as side and technical facilities.

– The planned facility will enable the preparation and the painting of all narrow-body commercial planes. It's dimensions will allow for the handling of the entire series of Airbus-A320, Boeing 737, as well as all airline models. Its structure would also allow for the simultaneous handling of a large, narrow-body commercial aircraft and a smaller plane of any category, which means that the simultaneous handling of two aircraft is enabled, as is the continuity in hiring workforce. In the first two years, the projected capacity is around 60 planes – JAT Tehnika says for eKapija.

As they add, the hangar will be built in line with modern standards, have modern air conditioning and ventilation systems, separated by zones, whereby the consumption of energy is optimized.

The value of the investments should be known after the preparation of the technical documentation, currently in progress, is completed, and the funds for the construction of the hangar will be secured through a credit line, JAT Tehnika explains for our portal.
