Over the next five years, Srbijagas will increase its capacities by expanding the Banatski Dvor storage from the current 450 million cubic meters to at least 750 million, but also by building two new ones, in Banatski Itebej and the Pancevo area, the company’s executive director, Milan Zdravkovic, announced for eKapija.

– By the end of 2019, the capacity of the existing storage in Banatski Dvor should increase, and another two storages should be realized in the medium term, a period of five years – Zdravkovic explains.

As he explained, the capacity of the Banatski Itebej storage will be up to a billion cubic meters, whereas the one in Pancevo should have a capacity of 300 million cubic meters of gas. This smaller, pilot storage will have the purpose of an efficient management of the entire system, our interviewee explains.

The idea is for both new storages to be fully owned by Srbijagas, and the amount of these investments is not yet known.
