Electronic sessions of the Government of Serbia starting from May, 2009 – “ComTrade” is introducing informational system worth 27,3 million dinars in the state’s management

Ministry for telecommunications and informational society and “ComTrade group” signed a Contract about introduction of informational system in the Government of Serbia, worth 27,3 million dinars.
- The project will last until the beginning of June and it consists of introduction of electronic sessions of the Government, which means paperless sessions and complete automatization, the start of electronic procedures in the General Secretariat of the Serbian Governmnet, said Madam Minister for telecommunications, Jasna Matic.
As she made it clear “the contract marks the beginning of introduction of the electronical management in the Serbian Government”, and first sessions without printed materials are expected the latest in May of the coming year. Minister explained that all materials will be available to the Ministers in electronic form on their laptops.
Madam Minister Matic announced that from Monday, December, 29th, Ministry for telecommunications would start the project of introducing informational society in Serbia, on the level of local communities.
There will be sent question forms to the municipalities and the cities in order to evaluate the situation in those areas and to make an action plan for development of electronic management in the local management unions.
Madam Minister Matic pointed out that with introduction of informational technologies and electronic management, expenses would be decreased and the system would be more efficient, while at the same time possibilities of corruption were being decreased.
It is still not in the plans to replace phone sessions of the Government with so-called video conference sessions, in which Ministers could communicate through their laptops with installed web cameras.
On the tender for realization of the project, best offer was made by the consortium of companies, “Spinnaker New Technologies” (member of “ComTrade group”) and “Telekom Srbija”.
