Tender for expansion of Szentendre Road opens – Works estimated at RSD 585.5 million

The tender for the expansion of the Szentendre Road on the section between the Primorska Street and the Velebitska Street opened in late April, and the construction of additional two lanes is financed by the City of Novi Sad, the Province of Vojvodina and the PE Roads of Serbia.

As stated in the documentation, the works have been estimated at RSD 585.5 million, without VAT, (533 million for the lanes and 51.6 million for the public lighting).

The tender envisages the construction of a route of around 1.3 kilometers, with bicycle and pedestrian lanes to be built, as well as new public lighting. The works also include the reconstruction of the water supply and sewer system in this part of Klisa, along with the construction of home connections.

In the draft agreement, the Building Land Directorate requires the contractor to expand the Szentendre Road within 210 calendar days, that is, seven months.

The Szentendre Road is meant to remain open for traffic for the duration of the works, but will be redirected in several phases, primarily in the junction zones.

The technical documentation shows that 21,000 square meters will be paved and that 131 public lighting poles will be installed.

It is not yet known when the expansion of the remaining 1.2-km section of the Szentendre Road, from the Velebitska Street to the highway, will follow.

The works fit into the current reconstruction of the Szentendre Bridge on the canal and the upcoming construction of its twin bridge.

The bid submission deadline is June 4 and the opening of the bids will take place on the same date.
