Pancevo to replace lighting and reconstruct local roads through PPP

The City of Pancevo is planning the realization of two big PPP projects – financing the replacement and maintenance of public lighting in the city of Pancevo, availability payment, and PPP project for financing, construction and maintenance of local road infrastructure with the public payment.

The City Administration signed the two PPP agreements on April 19, 2018, with Marija Tasic, managing partner at Tasic&Partners law office.

– PPP as a form of long-term cooperation between public and private partners is gaining more advantages compared to traditional financing by enabling the project to be implemented without additional borrowing and providing better quality of public services and public infrastructure. Although the PPP system in our country is still at its beginnings, T&P law office has already made more successful projects proposals which have received the positive opinion from the Commission for PPP of the Government of Serbia, such as PPP projects for organization of public transportation and regulating heat distribution in the city of Niš, PPP projects for replacement of public lighting in Sečanj, PPP project for the waste water treatment in Zrenjanin... – the T&P office says.
