Serbia is striving to improve the economic cooperation with Portugal, since the foreign trade amounted to EUR 50 million last year, where it could be much bigger, Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic pointed out during his visit to Lisbon, as reported on the website of the Government of Serbia.

He said that it was very significant that his host, Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santos Silva, had also organized a meeting with representatives of various companies and added that, in line with this, Belgrade could make the next step towards the operationalization of the companies’ plans when it comes to economic cooperation.

As Dacic pointed out, 136 years of diplomatic relations of Serbia and Portugal is a great capital and that’s why there should be further efforts towards the enhancement of bilateral relations.
