Brussels gives positive rating to protection of competition in Serbia – Further education needed

The chairman of the Commission for Protection of Competition, Miloje Obradovic, met this Friday, April 13, 2018, with the head of EU delegation to Serbia, Sem Fabrizi, and the main topics of the conversation were the Commission's activities on enhancing the economic environment in Serbia, especially regarding the process of accession negotiations within Chapter 8.

As reported, it was pointed out during the conversation that the Brussels administration gave a positive rating to the policy of protection of competition in Serbia, especially the work of the Commission for Protection of Competition.

Obradovic informed Fabrizi about the activities on the realization of the project of founding the regional Western Balkans Competition Forum, to be headquartered in Belgrade, and Fabrizi supported the Commission's efforts to secure equal conditions for all participants in the market.


The head of the EU delegation to Serbia also emphasized the importance of further education about the policy of competition in the Serbian market, as well as a further improvement of the Commission's operations.
