EPS looking for consultant for construction of Kostolac wind farm

Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) is looking for a consultant on the project of construction of the Kostolac wind farm.

The international public contest, including a pre-qualification procedure, is in progress, and everybody interested should apply by May 24 at the latest.

The awarding of the job of consulting services, as stated in the invitation, is planned for October 2018, and the activities are estimated to last for 24 month, considering that the project needs to be realized by August 2021.

The Kostolac wind farm, it is reminded, will have installed power of 66 MW and be built 90 km east of Belgrade, on the Danube. The project entails the delivery and installation of wind generators, construction of wind generator foundations, substations and power lines connecting the facility to the power network, installation of equipment, construction of the necessary infrastructure and access roads, consulting services and expert services.

The construction is financed through the KfW development bank, and the agreement between this institution and EPS on the loan of EUR 80 million was signed in late November 2017. As Milorad Grcic, acting director of EPS, announced at the time, the beginning of the construction of the wind farm is planned for 2019.

The tender envisages for the job to be awarded to an independent consulting company, and the advantage is given to those with regional experience in Serbia or Southeast Europe.
