An international conference on Serbian Competition Law Enforcement - Status and Perspectives will be held on April 19 at Hotel Hilton Belgrade.

Building upon experience from EU and its member states, including Germany and neighboring Croatia, the conference will give an update of the status and offer possible conclusions as to the perspectives of the competition law enforcement in Serbia.

The organizers, the LAW Office CMS Belgrade, announce that some of the most renowned experts in the field of competition protection, from the state and the private sector, will speak at the conference. Among others, the attendees will be addressed by Miloje Obradović, President of the Serbian Commission for Protection of Competition, Nicholas Banasevic, Head of the European Commission's DG Comp Unit, who directly led cases against Microsoft, Intel and Google, as well as Harald Kahlenberg, Partner at CMS Stuttgart, one of the 10 biggest law offices in the world (also present in Serbia), and Head of CMS Competition Practice Group.

The conference will aim to answer important questions, such as if we should expect more dawn-raids, more sector inquiries, effective leniency regime, damages actions becoming a real option in Serbia and what should be changed in the current antitrust framework.

The conference will be held in Serbian and English and simultaneous interpretation will be available.
