Value of hospital in Meljine and Tivat-based "Arsenal" - €200m ?
Director of the Fund for Reform of Army of SCG, Vladan Živulović, confirmed that the Government of Montenegro would manage to realize extremely high incomes from the privatization of military property on its territory, as well as that that amount would most certainly exceed total amount of financial obligations that Montenegro should have towards the Army of SCG in the following years.
Their estimate is that €200m could be earned only from sale of military hospital in Meljine and Military-Overhaul "Arsenal" in Tivat. That money is more than enough for Montenegro and more than enough for settling of all obligations towards the Army, so that the Government could use the remainder for some completely different purposes. Thanks to the way and the speed at which Government of Montenegro approves requests of the Ministry of Defense for privatization of certain military facilities in that republic, the Fund will next month announce tender for selection of contractor that should start construction of new complex of military apartments on two locations in Podgorica. Starting from January 1, all retired military persons who live in Montenegro will be paid their pensions from the money earned from sale of the military property.
