Ten new municipalities and cities in Serbia in USAID's programme
The CEO of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Serbia, Michael Harvey, signed the Agreement yesterday (November 20, 2008) in Belgrade with the representatives of 10 municipalities and cities on participation in the programme for planning and reacting in emergency situations.
New participants in USAID's programme are - Bačka Topola, Čoka, Despotovac, Golubac, Kula, Novi Kneževac, Petrovac na Mlavi, Sombor, Subotica and Žagubica.
There are the municipalities and cities that have to cope with floods, hail storms and fires.
This Agreement defines joint dedication of local self-government and Programme and it defines the aspects of cooperation in improvement of the system for managing emergency situations.
