La Linea Verde to rent 96 hectares in Ruma for 30 years – Italians to pay EUR 23,300 a year

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection has approved the request of the Italian company La Linea Verde, which has an operational factory in Dobrinci, for the right of first refusal on state land.

The decisions on the right of first refusal and the rental fee were reached at a session of the Municipal Council of Ruma.

The agricultural producer will thereby be given slightly over 96 hectares of state land of various grades in the cadaster municipalities of Ruma and Kraljevci.

The head of the Department of Finance, Economy and Agriculture of the Municipality of Ruma, Biljana Damljanovic, says that the land is to be rented to La Linea Verde for a period of 30 years.

– La Linea Verde will be paying an annual rental fee of EUR 23,300, in dinar countervalue, for 96.95 hectares of state land – Damljanovic says.

The rental fee was defined based on a proposition of the Ministry of Agriculture and amounts to EUR 207 for a third-grade plot of arable land, based on which the prices for other grades were determined as well. Forty percent of the money from the rent of the Italian company will be paid to the municipal budget of Ruma, whereas the remaining part is meant for provincial and state organs.
