Pirot and Izmir discuss enhancement of business cooperation – New Turkish investments in Serbia possible

(Free Zone Pirot) A business delegation of Pirot met this Monday (March 5, 2018) in Izmir with a member of the Board of Directors of Free Zone Izbas, Gursel Bahcivancilar, and his associates.

As the website of Free Zone Pirot reports, the aim of the meeting was to exchange experiences and enhance the business cooperation.

Free Zone Izbas spreads on 1.62 million square meters, employs more than 2,300 workers and has 172 companies operating within it.

Following the meeting with the management of Izbas, the business delegation of Pirot met with Mayor of Izmir Aziz Kocaoglu and his associates. As reported, there was talk about the possibilities of Turkish businessmen investing in Pirot and utilizing the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and Turkey.

At the meetings in Izmir, Pirot was represented by the president of the Contracting Chamber of Economy of the Pirot District and the executive director of Free Zone Pirot, Dragan Kostic, Honorary Consul of Serbia in Turkey Metin Akdurak, District Chief of the Pirot Administrative District, Dragana Toncic, owner of D-Company, Dragan Ciric, the director of the Regional Landfill, Nebojsa Ivanov, and the marketing assistant to the executive director of Free Zone Pirot, Aleksandar Simonovic.
