Gingermina, a new product of the company JGL Beograd Sopot, will become available in the markets of Serbia and Croatia in early March and in Slovenia in April. This is a ginger-based food supplement used for nausea, vomiting, motion sickness and problems with digestion. This is the first product not developed in the Rijeka area, but developed independently by pharmacists at JGL Beograd Sopot, a Serbian company belonging to the JGL Group.
As JGL said, a little over a year passed from the idea that was formed in early 2016 to the decision to market the product in Serbia and then in Croatia. According to Petra Konosic, JGL Country Manager for Serbia, the idea for the development of Gingermina was to create a product based on the ginger extract, which has indications similar to those of JGL's Dramina, such as reduced nausea while traveling, as well as the fact that it can be used in the form of a plant extract by pregnant women to counter morning nausea and that it regulates the digestive system.
The test run was carried out in mid-2016, and with the support of a team from Strategic Marketing, Global Product Management and Global Registrations, the development of the product continued with the preparation of the packaging and the declaration and the final registration as a food supplement product.
– We are proud of the success of the entire team and grateful for the trust given to us by the parent company JGL. Under the leadership of the production manager, Milica Stanojevic, the first commercial run of Gingermina was produced in Sopot in early February, and the launch in the market of Serbia and the neighboring markets is to follow – Konosic emphasizes.
The ginger extract is traditionally used for problems with digestion, and it also helps with the loss of appetite, but also with throat lining inflammation.
Let us remind that the Rijeka-based pharmaceutical company JGL bought BG Pharm in bankruptcy back in late 2013 and then took over the production and storage area of the company in Sopot near Belgrade, as well as a part of the equipment, registered licenses...
