The Western Balkans Investment Summit, organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), will be held in London on February 26, says the website of the Government of Serbia.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic will participate in a panel discussion of the prime ministers of the Western Balkans, where she will talk about the priorities of Serbia, the vision and importance of regional cooperation, as well as about significant regional projects.

She will also present investment opportunities and advantages in Serbia.

Brnabic will also speak at the panel on regional integration, on the digital agenda for the Western Balkans region.

During her stay in London, Prime Minister Brnabic will meet with EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti and with Director for South Central European Affairs at the US Department of State Matthew Palmer.

Also, the Prime Minister of Serbia will attend a reception that will be organized by UK Prime Minister Theresa May for prime ministers of the Western Balkans region.

The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Marko Cadez, will present the online regional platform for interested investors, Tanjug reports.

The first product of the Joint Chamber of the Western Balkans, with the seat in Trieste, will be launched in the presence of six prime ministers of the region, Ana Brnabic among them, as well as European officials, representatives of financial institutions and big international companies, the CCIS announced.

Through a presentation about the business community of the region, as the driving engine of regional integration, Cadez, who is also the chairman of the Managing Board of the Chamber Investment Forum of the Western Balkans Six, will also take part in the panel on measures for improving connections between economies and creating a single market and an investment area in the Western Balkans.

– The aim of the investment platform, which was formed at the initiative of the private sector and with the support of the EBRD, is to promote the region as a single destination to invest and do business in and the advantages of a single regional market and to provide the business community with all the information needed for an overview of the conditions for doing business and making a decision to invest in a single place – Cadez stated.

Thanks to this portal, investors will be provided with key macroeconomic indicators, information on the current laws and regulations, the market, financial and other incentives for investments, potential partners and suppliers and concrete projects they can invest in.

At the same time, this platform, according to Cadez, will also contribute considerably to improving the climate for investing and doing business, the strengthening of the rule of law and transparency in the economies of the region and, with that, the creation of conditions for a quicker growth and development of the economies of the region and individual companies.

– The chambers of commerce – members of the Chamber Investment Forum, will find this platform to be a very useful tool in creating recommendations for decision-makers and quality initiatives for removing obstacles to more successful operations, harmonization of regulations, procedures and practice for more efficient operations of companies from the region and the world – Cadez notes.

The Chamber Investment Forum will thereby, he says, additionally contribute to the realization of the Multiannual Action Plan for the economic regional area and the creation of a single market without barriers, stimulating business in the Western Balkans, the press release says.
